Buying domestic flights in Australia
If you’re planning on buying internal flights within Australia for a trip Down Under in 2010, then now may well be the time to do it. The major Australian airlines have announced flight sales at the same time – and Virgin Blue is offering some great deals on flights from Sydney.
$49 Gold Coast flights
The best deals available in this seat sale are the $49 one way flights to the Gold Coast – but more cheap flights are available to other Australian destinations. For example, if you book before midnight on 15 March 2010, it is possible to book one way flights from Sydney to Melbourne for just AU$65.
Brisbane, Canberra & Adelaide flight sale
Other bargain flights are available to Brisbane (AU$69), Canberra (AU$59) and Adelaide (AU$79), while flights to Tasmania also represent good value. Virgin Blue is offering flights to Hobart for AU$79 and Launceston for AU$69.
Perth and Ballina-Byron flight sale
The most expensive seat sale prices are to Perth, but AU$179 is still an extremely good deal. Shorter flights to the likes of Ballina-Byron and the Sunshine Coast are cheaper at AU$69 each.
Sydney to Queensland: Cheap flights
The other routes on sale are to Queensland. Virgin Blue is offering flights to Rockhampton (AU$110), Townsville (AU$89), Cairns (AU$129) and Hamilton Island (AU$99) in the sale.
