Flights to the Gold Coast
I’ve explained the reasons why it is not worth buying a flight from the UK to the Gold Coast before. Australia’s main holiday strip is too close to Brisbane airport to make paying the extra couple of hundred pounds to land at Coolangatta airport on the Gold Coast.
Domestic flights with Virgin Blue
There are also some incredibly cheap domestic flights available between Sydney and the Gold Coast. Especially at the moment, while the Virgin Blue autumn flight sale is on.
Sydney to Gold Coast flight sale
The Sydney to Gold Coast route is the cheapest in the current Virgin Blue sale, and one way fares are being offered for a measly $49. This is almost certainly going to work out cheaper than buying a Sydney to Gold Coast sector as a part of the package with your international ticket.
Travel dates
This price is available on a limited basis only – once the seats have sold, they’ve gone. But get in early and you can travel between the following dates: 20 April 2010 to 23 June 2010, 20 July 2010 to 15 September 10 and 12 Oct 2010 to 15 December 2010
