Round world tickets | Shanghai, Tokyo, Sydney, Fiji & LA stopovers
Cheap round the world flight tickets with Qantas, Air Pacific & British Airways, allowing stopovers in China, Japan, the US, Australia, New Zealand & Singapore.
Flight time from UK to Australia
There’s no way of pretending otherwise – flying to Australia is not much fun. From the UK, the journey to Australia takes at least 22-and-a-half hours. And, if you’ve got the time to spare, it is well worth stopping over somewhere on the way to and from Australia.
Cheap flights with stopovers
Unfortunately, the cheapest return tickets to Australia rarely factor in stopovers. To add one in isn’t always too expensive, but you can expect at least another £50 to £100 to go on to the price.
Round world tickets | Stopovers
If you are planning on adding in a stopover or two, it is worth considering a round the world flight ticket instead of a simple return. The prices are often comparable, and there are some great deals on offer.
Round world tickets | Qantas Globehopper
Roundtheworldflights.com specialises in such round world tickets, and one of its deals is the Globehopper ticket. This allows four stopovers, flying with Qantas and its partner airlines (such as Air Pacific and British Airways).
Round world tickets | Asia & Africa stopovers
The stops available are spread throughout the globe. In one direction, you can stop in Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai or Beijing in China, Tokyo in Japan, Bangkok in Thailand, Mumbai in India or Johannesburg in South Africa. From there, you can stop at one of Australia’s East Coast cities (Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane) before moving on.
Round world tickets | New Zealand, Fiji & US
On the return leg, you’re allowed to stop in New Zealand (Auckland, Christchurch or Queenstown) and then in Fiji, Los Angeles or San Francisco. The price is dependent on where you stop and what time of year you fly, but between April and June, these four stop tickets are available for from £869.
