UK to Australia flight length
There’s no escaping it – a flight from the UK to Australia takes a long time, and anyone who says that it’s going to be an enjoyable journey is lying. However, for those who have got a bit more money to spare, the option of travelling in premium economy class makes things a bit more comfortable.
Premium economy flight deals in 2010
At the moment, however, there aren’t any particularly brilliant deals on premium economy flights to Australia. The cheapest time of year for these flights is mid-April to mid-June, and the best sale prices for flights at this time in 2010 have now been taken off the market.

However, there are some reasonably good prices on premium economy flights from London to Sydney to be found with Virgin Atlantic. Searching on Travelsupermarket.com for a few random dates in May and June 2010, I managed to discover London to Sydney flights for £1,444.97.
These flights need to be booked through Travelpack and involve a short layover in Hong Kong.
British Airways premium economy alternative
If you’re a frequent flyer with British Airways and want to rack up your miles, then it may be worth considering paying slightly more and flying with BA. Most British Airways premium economy flights between London and Sydney cost over £2,000, but there are a few deals out there for less. Hunt around on the dates, and you’ll be able to find a premium economy return for £1,610.57 booking directly with BA.
