China Airlines: Cheap flights from London to Taipei
It’s quite rare for a new flight route to Australia to open up, so China Airlines’ announcement that it is to start operating direct flights from London Heathrow airport to Taipei in Taiwan is rather interesting.

China Airlines also flies to Sydney from Taiwan, and when the two routes are combined, it makes for an exciting new one-stop flight from the UK to Australia.

The really good news is that in launching the London to Taipei route, China Airlines is offering some highly attractive prices on London to Sydney flights.
Economy class return ticket deal
When booked via Netflights.com, China Airlines’ London to Sydney flights cost as little as £548 for a return in economy class. This price was found for flights departing on 30 March 2010, returning on 10 April 2010, but other deals are likely to be available for other dates.

However, the London to Taipei route is launched on 28 March 2010, so the best prices are likely to be in March and April 2010. Unfortunately neither the Netflights.com or China Airlines websites are all that user friendly – it may be better to phone a knowledgeable travel agent rather than hit and hope.
Extra charge for Taiwan stopover
A travel agent will also be able to talk you through the extra fees (usually small) for a stopover in Taiwan.
