Bus travel to Australia
The specialist tour operator charges £3,999 to make a 92 day journey from London to Sydney by bus, and stops off in a series of sensational locations along the way.
Bruges, Prague, Vienna & Budapest
The Oz-Bus route starts by ploughing through Europe, taking time out in the great cities of Bruges, Prague, Vienna and Budapest before making the symbolic crossing into Asia over the Bosphorus.
Turkey and Iran by bus
From Istanbul, the Oz-Bus travels through Turkey and Iran, stopping in Goreme, Cappadocia, Esfahan and Tehran before entering Pakistan.
Oz-Bus in Pakistan, India & Nepal
In Pakistan and India, the key stops are in Lahore, Delhi, Agra (and the Taj Mahal) and Varanasi. From there, it’s on to the Chitwan National Park, Kathmandu and the Himalayas in Nepal, before cutting back down to Kolkata for a short flight to Bangkok in Thailand.
Thailand, Malaysia & Indonesia
Other stops in South East Asia include Ko Samui in Thailand, Penang in Malaysia, plus the Malaysian islands of Sumatra and Bali.
Bali to Darwin flight
From Bali, there’s another flight, this time to Darwin, and the Oz-Bus passes by Kakadu National Park and Uluru before finally arriving in Sydney.
Obviously, there are more stops than those mentioned, and such a journey clearly isn’t for everyone. But those that do fancy it should be in for an amazing experience.
