Kuala Lumpur-based carrier Malaysia Airlines is currently offering return flights from London Heathrow airport to Sydney Kingsford Smith airport in New South Wales, Australia – for from just £539 per person.

The extraordinary flight deal is part of Malaysia Airlines’ current Stretch Your Pound promotion, and the flights need to be booked by November 30th 2010.
Malaysia Airlines Sydney sale flight dates
To take advantage of the Malaysia Airlines Sydney flight sale, travellers must depart between November 9th and December 10th 2009, or between March 1st and June 15th 2010. A Kuala Lumpur stopover will incur extra taxes.
Competition with Air Asia X
It’s no secret that Malaysia Airlines is trying to compete with another Kuala Lumpur-based airline. Air Asia X has recently been offering cheap flights on the budget airline model from London Stansted to Kuala Lumpur, and then from Kuala Lumpur on to Melbourne, the Gold Coast and Perth.
And, for the air passenger, this can only be good news.
