Flights to Australia via South Pacific
In a previous post, I talked about Roundtheworldflights.com’s Trekker ticket as being a good option for travellers who want to stop over in the South Pacific on the way to Australia and New Zealand. It’s a great option for Samoa, Tonga and Cook Islands stopovers.
Fiji, Tahiti & Hawaii stopovers
However, if you choose to go a slightly different route on the Trekker ticket, it is possible to build in stopovers to Nadi in Fiji, Tahiti in French Polynesia or Honolulu in Hawaii.
RTW ticket prices
The Fiji, Tahiti or Hawaii stopover can be built into the same itinerary as less unusual stopovers in Los Angeles, Auckland, Christchurch, Sydney and Hong Kong. Prices start at £698 plus tax. The amount of tax to add depends on where you stop, but it is generally between £250 and £450. There is also a variation in price depending on season, with the cheapest deals being in June 2011.
