Emirates 7 stop round-the-world trip for from £755
Round the world flight tickets: better value?
Many travellers going from the UK to Australia want to see some of the rest of the world on the way there – and perhaps on the way back too. This is where a Round The World ticket (RTW) can become better value than a straight return.
Round The World Experts deal – April 2010 to June 2010
A classic example is the deal that Round The World Experts (a division of Flight Centre) is currently promoting. The price starts at £755 (for departures between April 20th 2010 and June 30th 2010) and allows for seven stops in various destinations on the way. Admittedly, two of these stops are in the same place (Dubai).
Fly Emirates to Dubai, Bangkok and Sydney
Flying with Emirates, this RTW ticket deal offers the traveller stops in Dubai and Bangkok, Thailand on the way to Sydney. From here the first catch kicks in – you need to get to Melbourne under your own steam, although this does offer the perfect opportunity for a two centre Australian holiday.
Melbourne to Auckland flights
From Melbourne, there’s another flight to Auckland in New Zealand before the second do-it-yourself leg. The last two flights are from Christchurch, New Zealand to Dubai and then Dubai back to London.
Flight ticket booking deadline
This isn’t the ideal option for every traveller, but for those with plenty of time and a desire to explore more than just Australia, it is certainly worth considering. Flights need to be booked by October 31st 2010.
