Business class flights to Australia: Price guide
Business class flights to Australia are, unsurprisingly, very expensive. As a general rule you should expect to pay at least three times more for a business class flight between the UK and Australia than you would an economy class flight. Also, any deal available for under £2,500 return is exceptionally good.
Business class flights to Australia: Flight search
To give a rough idea of what sort of prices to expect for business class flight to Australia, I used Travelsupermarket’s metasearch engine to compare prices on flights from London and Manchester to Australia’s three major entrance points – Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
Business class flights to Australia: Best travel deals
The search dates I used were for generally the cheapest time of year for flights to Australia – May. The results show that Thai Airways currently has the best deals from London, and Cathay Pacific has the best prices from Manchester. They also show that there’s not a lot of difference in price between the Sydney, Melbourne and Perth flights. With economy class, flights to Perth are noticeably cheaper – this isn’t the case in business class.
Business class flights to Australia – May 2010
I chose a departure date of 13 May 2010, with a return on 27 May 2010, with a flexibility of three days either side for both dates. The best deals found were as follows:

Business class flights to Melbourne
London Heathrow to Melbourne via Bangkok with Thai Airways: £2,394.00 when booked through Major Travel.
London Heathrow to Melbourne via Abu Dhabi with Etihad: £2865.43 when booked through Holiday Genie.
London Heathrow to Melbourne via Hong Kong with Cathay Pacific: £2,933 when booked through Major Travel.
Business class flights to Perth
London Heathrow to Perth via Bangkok with Thai Airways: £2475.67 when booked through Travelpack.
London Heathrow to Perth via Hong Kong with Cathay Pacific: £2,927.87 when booked through Travelpack.
Manchester to Perth via Hong Kong with Cathay Pacific: £3,000.00 when booked through Major Travel.
