UK to Australia flights: Stopovers

There is a surprising array of stopovers available for those flying to Australia from the UK. The options listed below are the ones that can be booked as part of a one stop flight with one carrier. If you’re happy to go for two stops, then a whole world of other options opens up – airlines such as Lufthansa, Air Austral and Air New Zealand offer up some rather interesting routes as well, but more than one stop is required.

There is also the option of combining a flight with a full service airline to Asia and then getting a low cost airline for the rest of the journey to Australia. Options for this approach are listed on the ‘Can I fly to Australia using low cost airlines?’ page.
