In general, August is a bad time to be travelling to Sydney. It’s the middle of winter there, and flight prices can be extremely high as flights are full of Australians travelling to and from Europe.
London to Sydney with Kayak Best Fares
But just occasionally, there is a sensational deal available on London to Sydney flights in August. Using Kayak’s Best Fares tool, I was able to find London to Sydney flights on various dates for under £640.
China Airlines via Taipei
All of these flights are with China Airlines, involving a change of planes in Taipei, Taiwan. Just to check that these deals are still available, I clicked through on one of them. The deal – £625 return, departing on 03 August 2010 and returning on 30 August 2010 – was still on when booked through Ebookers.
Ebookers flight deal
This is a superb price – even low season prices rarely dip below £650 – so if you’re planning to visit Australia in August, it may well be worth taking advantage of the Ebookers price.
