One such option is with Air China, an airline that many British travellers will not have encountered. It has a regular London to Sydney service, connecting in Beijing. And, at the moment, Air China has some rather eye-catching deals available.

Until December 31st, Air China is offering cheap flights from London to Sydney for from just £609. These include a free Beijing stopover. Alas, as with many airlines, Air China is being rather opaque with its availability dates. Booking by phone or going through a travel agent is probably going to be the best way of tracking down the best dates for truly great flight bargains.
