Flight Centre is offering return flights from the UK to Australia (London Heathrow to Sydney) for just £599. The flights are with Korean airline Asiana, and involve a brief layover in Seoul – although it’s possible to build in a Seoul stopover at extra cost should you wish to.

In 2009, Asiana was nominated as the third best airline in the world, behind only Cathay Pacific and Singapore Airlines. The award was given by Skytrax, a consultancy which regularly undertakes surveys of passengers across the globe.
