Whilst doing the research into my Christmas flights to Australia guide, I did come across one incredible deal which bears repeating here.
2010 Christmas flights sale: London to Sydney
If you are prepared to miss out on New Year’s Eve in Australia, it is possible to get a return flight from London to Sydney in December 2010 for just £739.75 per person.
Air China flights sale in December 2010
The deal is with Holiday Genie, and the flights are with Air China. The dates I used for testing purposes were 07 December 2010 from London Heathrow and 28 December 2010 for Sydney Kingsford Smith airport.
If these dates don’t suit you, then the same deal is available for limited alternative dates – but only for return journeys between Christmas and New Year.
Connection times in Beijing, China
On the outgoing leg of this Air China flight, the connection time in Beijing is pretty good – three hours and five minutes. On the way back it is less so – a somewhat gruelling five hours and 55 minutes.
